Providing Relief, Rebuilding Together
Since the wildfires began, we’ve seen firsthand the devastating impact on mothers and birthing people—many losing their homes, workplaces, and childcare all at once. In response, we launched the Wildfire Relief Fund, raising $20,000 to provide direct cash aid to 35 families, each receiving a minimum of $500.
We know how powerful immediate financial support can be in times of crisis. That’s why we’re working toward another round of funding in the next 90 days. If you’re able to contribute, your support will help families regain stability and rebuild their lives.
Connecting Families with Birthworkers
Beyond financial relief, we’ve also been ensuring parents receive the care they need during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Through our aid program, we’ve paired families with lactation consultants, doulas, midwives, and therapists—providing critical support during some of the most vulnerable moments.
Thanks to this program, our birthworker network has grown to nearly 80 professionals, and we’ve already provided essential services to over 50 pregnant & postpartum families at little to no cost. This work has also strengthened our partnerships with organizations, communities, and brands stepping up to support.
Volunteers: We Need You! A Retreat to Honor Mothers, Birthing People & Birthworkers
To recognize the resilience of the mothers and birthing people we serve and the generosity of the birthworkers supporting them, we’re hosting a Morning Retreat—a day of rest, connection, and care. The retreat will take place on March 9 from 9am-1pm at a home in Pasadena.
We’d love to welcome volunteers to help make this special day possible! If you’re interested, please email us at hello@mama2mama.org or fill out our volunteer form.
Your continued support fuels this work. Together, we’re holding mothers and birthing people through hardship and helping them rebuild with dignity and care.
